Social Media and Your Security

This past week there was a post that keep running incessantly across my newsfeed about something with privacy and Facebook. People got into a panic and started reposting it thinking to themselves, “Damnit! I’m not gonna let Facebook invade my privacy!!!”

Without checking facts, it in fact was a scare tactic. This reminded me of some security basics and how naïve people tend to be when it comes to their social media zipping and buttoning up for protection.

Believe it or not, two in five of Facebook users don’t pay attention to their security settings, or think they have them set correctly when they don’t.  So, without further delay, I’m going to post an infographic about your security and what you should and shouldn’t be downloading on social media sites.

Watch out for those meme’s!!!
